Abstract: This paper discussed the hand and preference of stretch fabrics for sportswear through subjective and objective hand evaluations. Twenty-two varieties of stretch fabrics for fall/winter sportswear fabrics were used. Seven main factors were classified through subjective evaluation and total cumulative variance value is 68.28%. According to correlations between objective hand and preference, there’re different preferences for pants and shirts and in responding to preference for shirts, they do not put weights on gender. Correlations between subjective hand and preference shows that there is a similar tendency in preferences for pants and shirts regardless of gender.
